In the Beginning
Welcome to the best stock trading in the world.
Wait. Does that sound a bit presumptuous?
It is, but for good reason. And this blog is intended to prove it. Shortly, I’ll begin by chronicling this little adventure of mine, and by doing so publicly, it will become yours as well.
I wrestled with the question of whether to actually create a blog about this or not for some time, and as is now obvious, I decided to go ahead with it. The question was simple: If one develops a lucrative means of achieving extraordinary gains through the stock market, does one dare spill such secrets? Most prudent people would say, “Well of course not.”
Well the blog is here. So you have to assume that either a) I’m not prudent, or b) the question turned out to be bad. Judge for yourself my prudence. From my view of things, the question was bad. It turned out for me, that the question should be more complex:
If one’s goal is solely to make money, for the sake of money alone, and [one develops a lucrative means of achieving extraordinary gains through the stock market, does one dare spill such secrets?] Well of course not.
I never applied my efforts to this project to make money, for the sake of money alone. I did it, well, because it was hard. Any money I make, though, will not end up being applied to acquiring an abundance of consumer items, but instead, will be applied as the means to my higher goal: quite simply, I want to lead a truly academic life; a life of an intellectual. Specifically, I’d like to teach (and thus, to continue to learn about the history of Philosophy). More on that later. Maybe.
When an academic discovers something remarkable about the world, or about history, does he keep it to himself? No, he writes a book, or a paper, or gives a lecture. He loves to have a public debate about truly intellectual things (A joke: I’m speaking about the good intellectuals not interested solely in vain glory mind you–those interested in vain glory who have landed jobs in universities have simply been mislabeled as intellectuals).
That was, for me, the ultimate sway. After this project got going, it wasn’t that fun doing it all alone without people with whom I could discuss its merits. Hence this blog.
So welcome. Soon, I’m going to add the premises upon which my adventure and subsequent blog were founded.
